Dresden Royal Vienna Style Hand Painted Courting Couple Cobalt & Gold Cup I Very pretty porcelain demitasse cup and saucer. Decorated in the Royal Vienna style with a colonial / Georgian courting couple in a garden.The scene is framed by gold gilt beading. With an overall cobalt blue background with raised gold gilt scrollwork, lattice, and floral designs. With a gold gilt medallion in the center of the saucer and gold gilding to the handle of the cup and inside of the cup. Marked on the bottom with blue underglaze beehive/shield mark. Also has a blue H in a triangle over Dresden. This is an overglaze decorating mark used by Heufel between 1900 and 1940. Has some wear to the gilding, especially in the center of the saucer, but no chips or cracks. The cup measures approximately 2 7/8 inches including the handle x 2 1/4 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
