Welcome to Odd Dish Depot! You may also be interested in our sister site for more pretty patterns. This lot includes an impressive pair of rimmed soup bowls made by Spode Copeland for Tiffany & Co, New York. The style of backstamp on these was used from 1875 to 1890, dating these to well over a century old. The size of the bowls is 9-3/4 in diameter.
The design incorporates fine details of raised gold and enamel dots (the latter in both red and white) on cobalt blue rims, scalloped edges, and a pure white center ground. Condition : No chips, cracks, or crazing to the glaze. Bowl 1: A little wear to the gold on the edge of the bowl, and a bit of wear to the gold trim at the inner rim area (shown with an arrow in close up).
Bowl 2: Significantly more wear at the edge of the bowl, but could easily be touched up by a jeweler. Two minor under-rim repairs (small smoothed out areas, such as shown in close up).
